AHFC Encourages Rural Development

Close to half of Alaska's population lives in its three largest cities: Anchorage, Juneau, and Fairbanks. The remaining 350,000 people are thinly spread throughout the state. At the end of November, the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) announced plans to encourage rural development so that lower income residents can find housing closer to their jobs.
