Pushing for a Paradigm Shift

In Pennsylvania, a recent discovery of natural gas in the Marcellus Shale has drawn industry leaders and unemployed workers hoping to capitalize on the unexpected find. Increased demand for housing, combined with an influx of people who can afford to pay a little more, has caused both rental and home purchase prices to rise. The result is that lower income families are having a harder time finding a place to live. Now, a local coalition is working to advocate for more affordable housing.
