New Jersey Township Needs Affordable Housing

Affordable housing is in short supply across the country. Recent nationwide studies have found that thousands of affordable units are needed in order meet current demand. In an effort to maintain adequate housing, most states have set minimum requirements for their cities and towns. Under the regulations, a certain percentage of housing stock must be deemed "affordable" for low- and moderate-income residents. One city in New Jersey is falling short of its obligation, and is looking for some help.
