Missouri Senate Seeks to Curb Tax Credits

Historic preservation tax credits are a common tool used to fund not only community revitalization, but also the development of low- and moderate-income housing. Last year, an estimated $3.42 billion in rehabilitation work was approved across the country. In addition to federal funding, many states have their own historic tax credits programs designed to supplement federal dollars. Recently, the state of Missouri has been considering dramatic changes to its program.
