Massachusetts Towns Considers Policy Changes

Currently, the town of Marlborough, Massachusetts has a regulation that requires at least ten percent of its housing stock to meet "affordable" requirement, being accessible to people earning at or below 80 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI). The town recently underwent an assessment of its affordable housing stock and is waiting to find out whether or not it's meeting its own requirement. While the town waits, a City Council member has submitted legislation aimed at changing Marlborough's affordable housing policy.
