Yesterday, August 25th, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced new funding availability for two public-housing-related programs: HOPE VI and Choice Neighborhoods. The HOPE VI program has been around for 20 years, but this round of funding will be coupled with money made available through the new Choice Neighborhoods program.
